Description: The Cirque de Reflexions invites participants to engage in a reflective, shared experience. The enveloping walls provide a place of shelter and shade, at times a place for quiet contemplation and reflection, and at other times a place to party or perform, while every action is reflected in the mirrored facets of the enigmatic sculpture at its heart. Participation is inevitable and unavoidable. The spectator is the performer in the Cirque de Reflexions.

The Cirque comprises a tantalizing exterior reminiscent of chrysanthemum petals and Chinese folding screens with a ‘tattooed’ external skin and a mysterious inner sanctum with seating encircling a mirrored obelisk. The lower panels inside and out are applied with mirrored images of sinuous contortionists. The plan is a 12 pointed star and the faceted walls soar 15 feet in height curving inwards like a flower folding for the night.
